Garrison Carida (TM pending) wants YOU!

We are always accepting for new recruits! Serving Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia, Garrison Carida's (TM pending) 35+ members focus their trooping on primarily charitable events throughout these areas for the 501st Legion. We attend hospital visits, community events, march in parades, attend movie premieres and video releases, as well as troop at yearly conventions.

Below are the key requirements for joining the 501st and Garrison Carida (TM pending):

Old enough to join, but don't have a costume?
Not to worry. Just follow the steps below:

Sign up to the Carida Imperial Academy Group
Sign up to the Carida Imperial Academy group. Once you are in the Academy group, post a greeting to the councelors and other cadets to get the ball rolling, and so they know which costume you plan to work on. From there you will be directed to helpful resources and guides to help you get your costume together.

Send the Garrison Membership Officer Your Costume Photos:
When you have completed your costume, you need to send 2 photos of yourself in full costume to our Garrison Membership Officer. One should be with your "bucket" (helmet) on, and one with it off. Once the GMO has approved the photos, they will assist you with the rest of the membership process.

Fill out the 501st Legion Membership Application

All information submitted [with exception of info for yout member profile] will be kept strictly confidential and will be used only for the purposes of completing your 501st Legion registration.

All members of the 501st Legion have a number prefix for identification purposes, e.g., TK-0076, IG-8702. Got a favorite number in mind? You'd better get 4 or more ready as backups. With over 3500 members in the entire legion, quite a few ID numbers have already been taken. Check out the 501st member database to see if any of your choices are available.

Once your application is all filled out, the Legion Membership Officer will be contacted by our Garrison Membership Officer with your application information. Our GMO will then recommend membership approval. The Legion Membership Officer's availability may lengthen or shorten this process.

If your application is approved, you will receive an email confirmation to that effect, at which time you will get your ID assignment and be approved [only done by the LMO] and your record is marked is 'ACTIVE' in the Empires database, which auto-generates a webpage on our site under the appropriate costumes that have been validated [please refer to the 501st Legion Members Area for reference].

If you are not validated for membership, your record will be deleted from our database and you will receive an email explaining why your membership wasn't approved.
